My favorite is to get an all-over "My Mist" Mystic Tan at Palm Beach Tan (or other salon that has Mystic Tan). The cost of a one-time tan may not be much more than the cost of a good self-tanning lotion, and it will cover your entire body. If you choose to do this, I'd suggest getting it a day or two before your event.

However, if you want to buy something from Walmart, Loreal Sublime Bronze has worked well for me, and doesn't have the bad smell that you may get from other self-tanners. Make sure to exfoliate your skin first. It may be best to apply at a time when you haven't just shaved your legs. Sometimes self-tanner gets into the area where the hair grows, and can leave your legs looking freckled. Apply by rubbing down the leg and not up the leg, and that should help, too. Good luck!
Reply:JERGENS.
Reply:The Jergens natural glow daily moisturizer works great. Usually in a week if you apply it according to the directions.

Just make sure you get it everywhere and put it on evenly and you will have a great tan in no time.
Reply:I like the Jergens Daily Glow moisturiser firming. You can rev up the color by applying everyday or just get a touch of sun by using it every other day or third day. This stuff is great!! Good luck!
Reply:if you're going to lay out in the sun you might as well not use the jergen's that everyone is recommending that you use. i'm only telling you this because if you burn your skin and you by chance peel you're going to peel off your burnt skin AND your sunless tanner as well. stop laying out and stick with the jergens, trust me as this is coming from a girl who has had two boughts of melanoma in the past year.
