Is there a tanning product that helps pale people to develop a real tan (not fake)?

ERMMM

NO

You only get a REAL tan from the sun.

Moisturising products will help you KEEP a tan, but that's about it.

Is there a tanning product that helps pale people to develop a real tan (not fake)?
exposure to the sun ,,,, that works best for me.
Reply:Trust me you don't want to look like that! It's the freaking end of October anyway! Who's tan that doesn't live in the tropics?!? Tanning only makes people look old and like a worn leather accessory. Leather-like skin~gross!
Reply:have a chat to your doctor,as i think its got something to do with lack of pigmenation,so not all products will work,or may not at all..cheers

Best sunless tanning product?

I want a sunless tan without the funky orange color or the zebra streaks. Any suggestions?

Best sunless tanning product?
A Mystic Tan spray. It looks more natural than the lotions you bye in the stores and you start tanning quicker.
Reply:Clarins Paris. It's a bit on the pricy side but totally worth it. My tan looks completely natural and streak free all year. You should shave and exfoliate before applying to get the best results.
Reply:The only sunless tanning lotion that works for me and isnt TERRIBLY expensive is Jergens Natural Glow. It is around 5 dollars and works great!! I usually see results in 2-3 days. Make sure your hands after applying!!
Reply:My opinion is AVON. I have seen really good results from Skin So Soft Satin Glow Spray Tan. You spray it on and rub it in with your hands and it doesn't stain hands either. Plus it is cost effective. You need a local Avon rep to buy it though. Go to avon.com

Please... specific brands of NON-allergenic/itchy, no-sun-needed tanning lotions?

These shade-darkening lotions are popular now. I've tried Neutrogena and L'Oreal, but both of them cause me to itch and break out in a rash.

Anyone have a specific no-sun-needed tanning product for sensitive skin...that doesn't leave you in horribly itchy, blotchy, red spots?

Please... specific brands of NON-allergenic/itchy, no-sun-needed tanning lotions?
I love my fair skin! Don't tan be different!
Reply:Everyone's skin is different. I like a self tanner from Bath and Body Works called Glow and Steady. It seems lighter in texture than many others plus it has SPF in it.

I have fairly sensitive skin and have had no problems with it.

Hope you find something that works for you!
Reply:Jergen's Natural Glow daily moistrizer or Jergen's Natural Glow daily moistrizer firming lotion.....I use them %26amp; they definitely work really well! =D Hope this helps.
Reply:I absolutely love Mary Kay. It doesn't feel greasy or anything. It is absolutely wonderful. If you would like to try it, e-mail me and I can send you the info for my Mary Kay consultant. She is great.
Reply:I would try Aveeno - they are hypoallergenic products made for sensitive skin.
Reply:clarin's self tanning lotion
Reply:Try Neutrogena or Biore if Biore has a tanning product. Goodluck.
Reply:choose from the natural products.
Reply:Try Aveeno Active Naturals,or an Almay sunless tanning product.Almay is known for it's hypo-allergenic properties, and regular Aveeno is used for itching and rashes,so it should be a safer bet than most for your sensitive skin type.
Reply:nope. srry

Im looking for a sunless tanning product for acne prone skin?

Im looking for a sunless tanner that will make me tan without causing acne. Ive been using Proactiv(which works wonders) for my acne for awhile now, and everytime I get tan I lose it within a few days because when I wash my face it washes away my tan

Im looking for a sunless tanning product for acne prone skin?
the peroxides %26amp; sulfur in proactive will always fade any self tanner you use on your face and tanning in the sun isnt healthy, especially not when using the proactive skin care products. the medicine in the product is strong enough to cause serious burns if you try to tan in the sun....if you are wanting to stop using proactive to be able to use a self tanner....i recommend Build-A-Tan Gradual Sunless Tanning for Face SPF 15 By Neutrogena....its oil free...so it shouldnt cause acne.

there are some other options at the site below...

What is the CHEAPEST, SUNLESS, ODORLESS Tanning Lotion available?

Hello,

I don't won't to spend a fortune but I would like to get a nice sunless tanning product with the least amount of odor. I like the sunless tanners but I hate that common odor they have. I would like to purchase something say in Walmarts price range.

Thanks in advance!

What is the CHEAPEST, SUNLESS, ODORLESS Tanning Lotion available?
Yep. Jergans Natural Glow. It has some smell, but it's not as bad as others. Costs less than other sunless tanning products, but it should be used more often.
Reply:Jegans natural glow is very good stuff its only 8 dollars at walmart or local drug store it dosent turn you orange BONUS and in like 4 day s you are like 2 shades darker oh and it really dosent smell that bad just let it dry before you put your clothes on it can stain clothes

Any ideas how to get tanning solution off my palms?

tanning product stains.

Any ideas how to get tanning solution off my palms?
Baby oil - or you can buy wipes specifically for removing fake tan. You need to put on loadsa moisturiser on the palms o your hands next time! St Tropez do a hand mit, might help
Reply:"1/4 cup of lemon juice, 1/2 a cup of salt... scrub, scrub, scrub"

I was just watching The Wedding Planner a couple of days ago, and this does work. A coarse salt, like sea salt works best - it's just to help with the scrubing.

An easy way to do this would be to cut a lemon in half and put a heavy duty body scrub on the cut side. Then use it as a tool to scrub your hands clean.
Reply:trim back the branches
Reply:Toothpaste.
Reply:Use 'quickies' nail varnish remover pads. SCRUB. Then wash and moisturise your hands a lot cause it dries them out.
Reply:Any of the previous answers will work, but it will wear off gradually. Next time, either wear gloves or wash off immediately.

How can you get sunless tanning lotion stains off your hands?

I used a "Sunless Tanning" product from Banana Boat and my hands are stained orange. does anyone know how to get it off?

How can you get sunless tanning lotion stains off your hands?
- use cleanser and scrub everything in the house

- Try vinegar, it removes rust so maybe...
Reply:wash them or try bleach but that might not work
Reply:Acetone/turps, methylated spirits.

In future, you wash your hands with soap, completely, as soon as you have finished applying the lotion to your legs and body.
Reply:right after applying, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water. it may take a few days to see results.
Reply:yea i have the same thing!! and yea i did it too! i used vinegar to get it off. yea i know it stinks really bad but thats really the only thing u prob. have at home now and that's what gets it off. afterwards take a warm shower. just put the vinegar on your hands and it will come off with water too!!! ♥ ♥
Reply:you should always wear gloves but to get it off, use a scrub then moisturize.
Reply:You're supposed wipe of the lotion before you go tanning, now you''ll have too scrub them really well when you wash your hands or take a shower, and wash your hands as often as you can and as well as you can. You could also soak them for a few hours and scrub them really well which should get rid of most of the color, but thats only if you have a few hours to soak.

Fake bake self tanning?

could someone give me the name of the fake bake tanning product they use?

im on the website and there are sooo many..and there pretty expensive so i wanna get a good one!!

(only fake bake ones pls :) )

Fake bake self tanning?
It depends if you are looking for a daily cream or a overall one.

For the everyday gradual cream I like Aveeno (the turn dial) so you can blend the color to your like.

If you are looking for an all over spray - I suggest Clinique - all over spray.

I do not Like Loreal as it gives you a fake orange color, and neutrogena streaks - and they both smell. Clinique is about $20 (only a few bucks more) but the color is all over and the mist does not streak or leave ugly color and it smells great. That is a great spray if you are looking for something that is natural and wont damage your clothes.

Also The clinique color lasts longer than the other brands and does not rub off unevenly - The color lasts about 4-5 days w/out reapplying.
Reply:sally hansen in the best ever.

im always happy with their products in general, but they outdid themselves on this one!

happy tanning!

if you want a lotion, you should really consider HEMP. you can get it from wallmart.

Favorite tanning solution...Fake Bake, St Tropez, or other?

i would like to know what your favorite sunless tanning product is and why u think it is so great.

Favorite tanning solution...Fake Bake, St Tropez, or other?
fake bake is good, u can just put in on any old way and it turns out well, with no streaks, watch out for wrists and ankles though, that applies for every fake tan. i would recommend fake bake though.
Reply:Mystic Tan.
Reply:i dont like sunless tanning products cause it always looks fake. luckily i am part native american so i have darker skin so even in winter i am still kind of dark. haha. but i think if i were to get a fake tan i'd go to a tanning salon and use a tanning bed.
Reply:Bombshell. It's so amazing. It has a sizzling factor in it, which brings your blood to the top of your skin to tan you faster. Just a couple times of tanning with this will make you a good shade or two darker.
Reply:St.Tropez is safer than the fake and bake . You still can get a nasty burn . The St. Tropez you're talking about is the spray on tan right ? I used it and love it . I have no time to be spending on tanning beds or at a beach .
Reply:? i use the tanning bed

Sunless tanning question?

In your opinion what is the best sunless tanning product out there. i dont want to be orange and i dont want to have streaks!

i'm pale as a ghost and i need some help!

Sunless tanning question?
hehe, I'm pale myself, but i keep up a pretty nice glow thanks to self tanners. this article has good reviews on a range of tanners, from cheap to somewhat pricey. this talks about orange-ness and also streakiness- both are things nobody wants!

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article...
Reply:there isn't any product that will make you magically tan, but there are products that will give you a sunkissed look. Use bronzer, I used to ue it but then I realized I'm happy with my pale face, an I already have rosey cheeks so why ruin it right? Anyway if you use bronzer use a little bit not like a glomp, maybe like 4 drops?
Reply:so the best product out there is definetly Dove Energy Glow Body Wash. the wash alone gave me a gorgeous summer glow..if you are looking for a hard core tan add the lotion from Dove it all works great and it doesnt make u orange, it makes u bronze (yay bronze!)
Reply:OK I'm really pale too! My doctor says just stay out in the sun and go out in tune with your iPod ( if you have one! ) Worked for me i got a lil' tan
Reply:I'm also really pale too, and even the sunless tanners in the fairest shades were too dark for me. Then I bough Banana Boat SunDial %26amp; it was perfect! It has a bunch of different shades that you can choose from, and you can go darker each day, just by twisting the dial. It is more expensive, but it's worth it for me because it doesn't leave me streaky! Hope this helps =)
Reply:I found that you need to find a product that contains Aloe Vera as it will go down to the lower levels of your skin where the new skin is generated %26amp; help with your colour; no streaking or tango-effect!
Reply:The new mystic spray on tan is great. I just tried the new one at Hollywood Tans and I loved it!

Sunless tanning?

What is a good sunless tanning product to buy that wont wash off when it gets wet, or even stay on after i shave, i want a good tan by the 8th...

Sunless tanning?
Try L'Bri Pure n' Natural's sunless tanner ($15). It's a white cream and goes on like lotion. It uses the natural enzymes and amino acids in your body to turn your skin the same color that you get from the sun. It doesn't have any dyes in it, so it won't streak or look fake. It won't wash off either, it's amazing stuff. Check it out at suenelson.lbri.com.
Reply:Try jergens tanning lotion its really nice and it makes your skin nice and smooth. However, i wouldnt try spray tans they can leave your skin orange depending on where you go. =]
Reply:JERGENS
Reply:Jergen's tanning lotion is a good product.
Reply:go get a spray-on tan in a booth at a tanning salon. i got one for a wedding a couple years ago and it lasted a good 2 weeks and looked great. they should show you a video before hand on how to do it right. exfoliate before you do any kind of sunless tanning tho, that gets rid of the dead skin that soaks in the color and ends up looking orange.

Self-Tanning?

Does anyone know the best self tanning product that does not cause streaks? I've tried the "mistic tan" but that was a waste of money. I was covered with streaks.

Self-Tanning?
I'm using jergens natural glow moisturizer. I just started using it like 2 days ago, and after the first day, I noticed results. It's simple, like putting lotion on, and doesn't cause any streaks at all. This lotion also makes it look really natural, no streaks, no orangy color...nothing!

Even if you dont get this, I'm suggesting you use a moisturizer that has a subtle darkening complex, which means it gets you darker each use. I find it easier than any spray or lotion that gets you tan right away, because of streaking, oranging, and making yourself look way to tan. It's easier to control the tan, and looks natural.
Reply:coppertone has a new product that i like so does bannana boat, they have them at walmart walgrens and k mart, i like copertones because it looks real not orange or yellow. I paid 35 for a fake bake at the tanning salon and it only lasted three weeks then looked orangish fake.

Self tanning lotions?

Do u use self tanning lotions/sprays?

If u do, can u recomend a good self tanning product?

Self tanning lotions?
There are so many self tanning lotions out there at the moment. As an earlier reply stated, Chanel have fantastic products. Generally, I find alot of people are suited to a gradual tan building moisturiser or lotion. I also paticularly enjoy Nivea products.
Reply:I know of a lot of people who use CHANEL PERFECT FACE SELF-TANNER SPF 8 and CHANEL PERFECT COLOUR BODY SELF TANNER. Visit chanel.com for more information and to purchase.
Reply:I wouldn't recommend either. They are too easy to mess up and leave your hands messy and streaks in places you can never find! I would instead recommend a moisturiser that helps to build a gradual tan. That way the tan is not only easier to apply and there is less mess, but it is more natural looking because you gain it gradually and your skin reaps the added benefits of moisturisation.
Reply:uhm all the ones i tried look like **** and i called that i was latina
Reply:Try jergens summer glow daily moisterizer. This works great! It never looks streaky or orange and can be applied as much as you want without looking bad. I use it twice a day and it looks great. Try it Good Luck!
Reply:i don't recommend them. they leave streaks and make you look orange!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:I think Nivea Quick %26amp; Easy Sun Touch is the best. I don't know if it's sold in America but it looks natural and sprays on evenly. It won't give you an orange look but instead a golden look.
Reply:Jergan's Natural Glow

Sunless tanning????

I want to get a nice "natural looking" tan. I am a single mom of 4 kids so tanning is out of the question Does anyone know of a really good sunless tanning product that looks real and works great on the face as well?

Sunless tanning????
I think banana Boat is the best sunless tanner. Looks brown, not orange.
Reply:Faux tan by Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals is great. You can use it face or body. It's natural looking and good for your skin.
Reply:loreal
Reply:try johnsons holiday skin its jus a moisturiser but gives a sunkissed look. dove have a similar range,
Reply:I always use Neutragena self-tanning products. They work very well, are colored so you can see exactly where you're putting it and give you a very natural looking color. My favorite type is their self-tanning mousse.
Reply:I don't use tanning products cuz I am nautrally tan....but look at your store like wal-mart and see what they have.
Reply:The Dove Natural Glow lotion works really well, and it's not too expensive. Also, I never had a problem with it rubbing off onto my clothes and staining (like I have with others). Good luck!
Reply:I buy the cheap stuff from Walmart, and it works great, just exfoliate first, put on one layer a day for about 3 days
Reply:Johnsons holiday skin it is just like being on holiday day by day it develops a natural looking tan i woul duse it every night for one week and you will be lightly tanned !
Reply:Why dont you just try to go out and get a spray on tan?
Reply:The L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Gel with the bronzer in it ROCKS! THis is the only one I have used that doesn't streak, goes on silky smooth...It has a bit of glitter which is nice, as well...It doesn't leave that weird blocked pore effect like most of them do, either! AND it smells good, not like lanolin. It also doesn't feel all dry and squeaky like some others on one's skin! My #1 choice, and I have been a lingerie model for a long time. People always compliment my tan, and I haven't been in the sun for about 10 years!

Tanning question?

I am an African-American girl that has a yellow complexion. I'm like a shade or two lighter than Beyonce. I want to be tanner, like a healthy golden brown color, sort of like Beyonce. I was wondering what tan products are out there for African-American's to tan? I really searched a lot of places so any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Tanning question?
Try a self tanner for dark completions. L'oreal has a nice one that is much like a bronzer so it gives you a rich healthy glow.

If I were you I'd try it in one place first somewhere that your clothes hide, wait a day and see how the color develops.

Make sure you exfoliate all over before applying. be careful around hands and feet, use a makeup sponge to blend onto the tops of your feet and hands.

If you have the money look into an airbrush tan from a professional esthetician.
Reply:Hi! I'm studying beauty therapy at the moment and am happy to say that I am qualified in spray tanning! Most companies are now releasing darker tones for darker people such as yourself, as your case is becoming more common! Hope this helps!

I would use tanning oil, I thunk the brand my dad uses is Hawaian. It doesn't stink or anything and it works really fast. I used it one time on accident, lol. There were no side affects. I think it would be better than goin to a tanning salon.
Reply:I work at a tanning salon and we actually have several african-americans who tan for that same reason. You can try indoor tanning in a stronger booth a couple times a month to give you a more healthy glow.
Reply:spray on tanning products or lotions. u should be happy with your complexion though.
Reply:I would try going to a indoor tanning booth...Those self tanners like lotions or spray on tanners can make your skin look more yellow -orange looking. Good Luck! : )

Tanning question?

what's the fastest and healthiest way possible to get a healthy looking tan, I have used those instant tan products, cremes, moisturizers, tan wipes, tan machines (I felt like popcorn in a microwave). Any other ways? foods to eat? quick methods?

thanks

How cute is that question? I laughed when I read it. Well, I can

only say, go to a tanning salon. Some of them are expensive,

and some are not.
Reply:A tanning bed is the fastest way to a real tan because the light is directed towards you.

I don't know of any foods, quick methods, or anything such.

Sunless Tanning?

-Sunless Tanning is usually only advertised in the summer time but i still use it in the winter so i dont look white as a ghost! I HATE looking orange, i want a sunless tanning product that makes me look tan. And i hate tanning in boothes and stuff. So does anyone know of anything that will make me look tan not like a pumpkin?

-Also, i always want to do my face but im always so scared because i did it once and you can so tell i did it! Is there anything i can do so it actually gets my whole face?

-Thank you so much!

Sunless Tanning?
go to a tanning salon and buy a tanning lotion with bronzers in it... 2-3 bronzers would be the best because it will give different dimensions to your tan and keep you from going orange... don't tan in a tanning bed... just use their lotion because it's very high quality and bronzers work without the tanning bed :)
Reply:Sunless tanning is the way to go if you have the right product, Sun Sauce lotion have a great blend moisturizing ingredients and just the right DHA to give you that "kiss of color" Report It

Reply:try nude ray bathing under grow lights, be carefull not to over do it
Reply:try to find a spray-on tan place. i've never had it done personally, but i've had some friends get it done, and it looks great. the only downside is that it only last for a few days and it's probably best to use it for a special occasion like prom or something.

i use Jergens. It is amazing! it smells great and it doesnt make your skin look orange at all, and now they make one for your face. it feels and applies just like lotion, and it's non-comodogenic (it wont clog your pores). i love it. maybe you should give that a try!

Tanning = D?

My skin is pretty fair, and I would like to get a good tan. However, I have a few worries about tanning.

1. Sun burn

2. Uneven tan

3. Not enough tan

4. Skin cancer

5. Wrinkles/ facial blemishes when I am older caused by tanning

(these are not necessarily in order of concern)

Based on these worries, can you give me some information on tanning. What tanning product should I use? How long should I tan? When should I tan? How should I tan? and other important things that you can think of. If it helps you, I live in the state of Connecticut.

Thanks for your help!

Tanning = D?
Get a spray on tan at a salon. Trying to tan when you are fair is just courting probelms as you get older. I am also fair skinned and I do not tan. It doesn't work. I get burned, peel and then I am fair again. I might get a few freckles but they sure don't ever blend together.
Reply:get a spraay tan at a salon or something. its safer than laying out.
Reply:If you want something fast. Get tan in a can. .If you're looking for a gradual, longer lasting tan, Tan in the beds. since you're so fair..it might take longer and you will burn eventually in the bed. It's inevitable unless you tan REALLY easily or have tan skin already. But tanning a few times won't do long term damage if you don't go constantly or over a long period of time. Get a good lotion to tan in the beds with. It'll boost your tan, and help you moisturize your skin at the same time. either one it's up to you. let me know if I can help!

I am going tanning today and I dont have any lotion or excelorator, what are some other products I can use to?
you can't use any lotions that are not made for tanning beds, it damages them. But you can buy samples or small packets of lotion from the tanning salon.
Reply:Use regular body lotion. The reason tanning products work so well is because your skin is more moisturized when you tan...

Also try and exfoliate your skin beforehand. Shave your legs before you go rather than after!
Reply:Olive oil, crisco, Baby Oil.
Reply:Always make sure your skin is moisturized. Have you tried taking baby oil in with you? Try a tingler too those help get the tan going much faster and it stays a little longer.
Reply:u can`t use products not formulated for tanning beds, as they contain ingredients that damage the acrylic of the bed...usually u can purchase a sample or small packet, because u definitely need something!!! tanning dries out your skin!!! not to mention, hydrated skin tans better %26amp; holds color much longer!!!

What Is The Best Tanning Product to use that does not make you look orange?

Try St. Ives. It says age defying but I don't really care. It gives you a really nice graduall tan instead of those instant tanners that make you look like a giraffe. When your done putting on fake tanner, always put on lotion afterwards, lotion makes it not have spots. Also when your putting it own always put it on in the same direction (along with lotion afterwards) if you go every which direction- thats what makes it streaky and gross.

What is the best tanning product for a healthy (light) glow?
If you aren't looking for "instant tan" I have found that Jergen's Natural Glow gave me enough color without being too noticable. It's a moisterizer and gradually colors your skin. Pretty cool. It only costs about $6 or $7 for a 7.5 oz tube. My only complaint is it doesn't dry very fast and it does stain clothing. You can check out more info at the web site below. Good Luck!

How do I remove self-tanning product from my hand?

My daughter asked me to put some self-tanning lotion on her back right before I was going to sleep. I did so without thinking about it (I know I should have washed my hand right after) and realized this morning my hand is stained and will NOT come clean with any kind of soap.

How do I remove self-tanning product from my hand?

What are some good self tan products that you leave on and blends in well??
I've used MANY sun-less tanning products.. and by far have had the best results with Neutrogena products. Here is a link to my favorite type. It's a micro-mist spray. It give a very natural color, dries quickly without feeling oily and smells nice. Just be sure to shower and exfoliate WELL just before you use it. Apply then wait for about 15minutes before dressing! (you can purchase it at Target or Wal-Mart for like $7.)

I have a rather pale complexion and dont naturally tan well, yet many 'fake' tans leave me an awful orange colour.

Johnsons holiday skin is a moisturiser too so not only will you have an even tan but nice soft, supple skin.

People were complimenting me on the nice tan I got while holidaying- my little secret!

Seriously, if it works on my skin (pale, over-sensitive) it will do wonders for anyone. Give it a go.
Reply:i use this brand called jergens, it's a self tanner that is like a moisturizer that tans slowly so you're not pale one day and ridiculously dark the next. I reccommend it because it works gradually (within a week) and it looks super natural and it doesn't smell or smudge! :) And since it's a moisturizer, it's good for your skin and keeps you nice and soft :)
Reply:I have naturally olive skin, but I still use self tanner and I found that using Skin So Soft ( you can get it at wal-mart in the lotion section for about 6$ a bottle ) is the best ! Sorry, no pictures, but I hope this helps !
Reply:I don't have any pics but I use the Evian Holiday Skin and its amazing and it smells really good to. It blends very well and doesn't streak. You can find it at most Shoppers Drug Marts. Another really good one is Banana Boat.
Reply:I have used like a million different sunless tanners, even the Jergen lotions. But the one I found to look the most natural and the best overall was the Loreal Sublime Self-tanning Gelee. Put you MUST put it on VERY thin or it will take forever to dry.
Reply:I ve tried TONS and TONS!! Love the look of a tan hate the damage!!! I think the best best best best ever if $$$ is not a problem is Clarins its amazing Lancome also has a decent one.

As far as drugstore brands I think the Loreal sublime is decent enough or try the moisturisers with a bit of self tanner in them

Is their any self tanning product that doesn't have that awful smell after it has dried?

A lot of these products advertise no odor and may even smell nice when you apply, but when it dries ( activates ) it has a awful odor

Is their any self tanning product that doesn't have that awful smell after it has dried?
The best product I have found is the Jergens body lotion with self tanner in it. It it subtle so you don't end up looking like a pumpkin!! It doesn't smell that nice when you put it on at first but once it drys you cannot smell it at all!!
Reply:The Nuetrogena spray mist leaves no odor when it dries. I have used it and can testify!
Reply:I use the Dove gradual tanner. It smells kinda good when you put it on, then has kind of a yeasty-sweet bread smell when it dries. So, I guess I'm of no help, but I do agree that they smell!
Reply:Let me know when you find one! I love self tanners, but yes there is that certain odour! Hope somebody knows of you...
Reply:Read some useful tanning tips and more on this site to help you
Reply:Avon sells a really nice smelling self tanning lotion. It is actually streak free too. my mom and I used to go tanning all the time, but now my mom cannot tan in a bed because of certain medications she is on. So she has resorted to self tanning lotions. They are really inexpensive too.

What products can u use at home to get a darker tan besides Coke and tanning oil?

you can also use beer, baby oil, or olive oil. but i have never tried coke though.

What products can u use at home to get a darker tan besides Coke and tanning oil?
I've never heard of Coke being used for tanning. I simply lay out on the beach, and the tan appears over the weeks. I use an SPF of about 4, just for minimal protection.

If you want sunless, there are a variety of products on the market now that are supposed to be much better than the old ones that tended to turn you orange.
Reply:Cocobutter and iodine.

It's a great way to get old and wrinkly before your time. But don't worry, you'll probably die of skin cancer anyway.

Reply:Good old fashion Baby oil. You will sizzle for sure but be careful because you can easily burn using it.
Reply:Joe Boo tries to use the self tanner products. If you buy the right one it will not smear that much. May have to shell out a few more dollars, but it is worth it.

On an aside, What is coke good for? I have never heard this? I use coke only to mix with my rum sometimes!

What are the bumps you get from tanning in a salon?

They are so itchy, and I use real good lotion and tanning products !!!!!

What are the bumps you get from tanning in a salon?
Your body's way of telling you to quit using those things before it's too late! Seriously - melanoma, even in it's mildest forms is not fun. I imagine you're tanning because you're worried about how you look. Give me your email address and I'll email a picture of what my forearm looked like post-op two years ago.

And by the way, the tanning salon you're using probably isn't up to hygiene standards which is why you're probably getting itchy bumps. Imagine how many bodies have lain naked (or at least nearly so) in each of those beds before you.
Reply:Scabies?
Reply:I don't think you are supposed to get anything from a tanning salon..but a tan..What do the bumps look like?
Reply:Are they bumps or like splotches? cause if its just dicscolored it could be from not shaving and laying in the tanning bed, but if they are like "bumps" then i woul say see a doctor, i lay in the tanning bed a lot and i havent ever had that problem, they may not be cleaning the beds well enough!
Reply:They might be heat bumps. Are you using lotion with the word tingle on the bottle? This is not good it you have sensitive skin. I would check the labels and only use non tingle lotions. You probably just had a reaction to the lotion you used.
Reply:lol @ the 1st answer. Thats what happens when u fake bake...especially if they are not sanitary.

Hi. i need to find a tanning product that works really good really fast,.?

hi im kinda really light complected and dont tan easy at all. i burn really easy and can get a very small tanline that you barely notice unless i point it out. im looking for a tanning pill, lotion, oil, sunless tanner or anything that works good and doesnt turn you orange i want something that i can use that will give me color all over in a brownish tint. even if it is just light brown. it also needs to be cheap and i need to know where to find it. cause i need to have a nice tan by july 19. any help is appreciated.

Hi. i need to find a tanning product that works really good really fast,.?
My sister owns a tanning salon, so I know all about these types of products. You could go to a salon, and do a UV free (spray on) tan. If you're a new customer, you can usually get a deal. The intro rate at her salon is $9.99 or $12.99, depending on the day. Normally it's $30. It's the Magic Tan system, and it doesn't turn you orange. If your'e looking for a lotion, to go tanning with, look for a bronzer that lists DHA as one of the first ingredients. DHA is the chemical in self tanners that mixes with your skin's chemistry, and gives you a brown color. If you want to just pick up a self tanner at a drug store, I've found the best CHEAP self tanner to be L'Oreal self tanning towlettes (you can find them at Target, Walmart or just about any drug store). They are awesome, and easy to apply. (I also recommend wearing gloves when applying any self tanner, so your hands don't turn orange!)
Reply:in Canada we have a product called tan towel... comes in packages, 25 packages plus a mist for $29.99 plus $7.00 shipping and handling, you just wipe yourself all over and in a few hours you have a tan...every week you just keep reapplying as needed.. and its SAFE, no tanning beds, with the lights that you can get burnt by, we buy it off the shopping channel here... don't know where you are writing from - but if in the states - check the different shopping channels down there... I think there are 2 or 3 of them. also check out www.planetshowcase.net click on seen on tv and then click on tan towel..... with these towelettes you don't need gloves to apply the tanning product with as the tanning product is in the towelette. does not turn your body orange... hope this helps you out

How do you get rid of that sunless tanning lotion smell?

My wife keeps complaining about the scent of her tanning lotion. I don't really notice it personally, but she's been searching online for a way to still use her sunless tanning products but avoid the scent that seems to come along with it.

How do you get rid of that sunless tanning lotion smell?
If you want to avoid the smell from Sunless Tanning products, tell your wife to look for the Sunless Tanning Towellets... they do not leave a smell, no discolouration to clothes, and no streaking. I use them all the time...they're awesome!!!
Reply:I'm very anxious to see if you get any answers to this one. My youngest son hates the smell of cocoa butter that's in tanning lotions. I also like to use a little sunscreen on myself, but don't want to go out smelling like I'm going to the beach! I'm sure a dermatologist would know of an unscented lotion. Hope you get some answers.

What kind of Instant sun tanning lotion is best.?

I bought Jergans gradual tanning lotion as well as one made by Dove. They work okay, but not as good as i would like. Does anyone have any recommendations on some good tanning products and maybe some good tips on how to apply it.

try bannanna boat sundial ( =
Reply:Did you get Jergens natural glow? That works much better. Or bare essentials tanning lotion.
Reply:maybe the neutrogena foam stuff.... that's a little darker.... you know... i use the jergans and to get tan i buy the medium instead of light... it gets you a lot tanner...
Reply:i like the neutrogena products - they seem to give the best "natural" tan color. and they have a bronzer built in so you can tell where you are putting the color %26amp; if you miss a spot - just be sure to wash your hands well, because it will tan your palms.

and, don't forget, you still need to use a sunscreen when you use the self-tanning products, since they don't protect from the sun's harmful rays.

Think about what you did when you were successful and what you now do and have done since your sales dropped.

Consumers need to be able to trust the product as well as the company.

-Wear gloves, or if you don't have any, scrape your fingernails across a bar of soap.

-Apply self tanning lotion on face, and a little on the tips of ears. Anywhere the sun would naturally tan your skin.

-IMMEDIATELY SCRUB palms of hands and between fingers if you didn't wear gloves. Use a little sugar/cornmeal mixed with hand soap.

What's the final answer on tanning salon safety?

I am very fair skinned and burn easily (even through sunblock spf 50)...Tanning salons tout being a safe alternative to the sun but #1 are they safe? and #2 can they work on someone who just doesn't tan? and #3 can you suggest any good self tanning products?

What's the final answer on tanning salon safety?
Tanning salons aren't a safe alternative to the sun at all actually. They use UVA and UVB rays just like the sun and at more concentrated levels. 5 mins in a booth is = 30 mins in the sun. You're really not missing out on the risk of skin cancer and I don't think they are allowed to advertise themselves as safe any longer.

If you're fair skinned, tanning in a booth for a few minutes at a time and working your way up to a gradual tan is a way to prevent burning, but some people who try this method either burn badly even after a few minutes, or just don't show any color at all. It's hard to judge until you try, but both results will leave you disappointed.

Self tanning is a good way to go because it's safe and you can control your results. Having someone there to help you with the application is key. They also have self tanning booths at some salons. They're the UV free tanning booths. They pick the right tone for you and the self tanner is applied by the machine via a mist. Some people I know have had good luck with it, but it's expensive.
Reply:If you have never tanned outside then you probally wont tan indoors. If you are set on the look of a tan then there are amny fake tan options ie, Mystic, Airbrush, and self tanning lotions from local store. Each time you burn you increase your odds of cancer. The purpose of indoor tanning is to avoid burning and tanning gradually.

Does Jergens Tanning Lotion work or smell?

I am getting married in July and I want a nice "glow"..I don't want a dark tan. I just don't want to look as scary pale as I am now. I won't use tanning beds because I'm afraid of skin cancer! I've used some other self tanning products before but they had that weird smell to them. Does Jergens actually work? If so, does it have that weird smell? Also, does it come off on your clothes easily?

Does Jergens Tanning Lotion work or smell?
I have used both Jergens and Dove gradual tanning lotion and like them both. I got better results with Jergens, but that may just be me. I'd recommend using a formula for fair skin to start with, that way you can slowly build your tan and you're less likely to look orange. There's also less risk of streaking with a fair skin formula. It didn't rub off on my clothing at all, and it fades naturally.

Do be sure to wash your hands very well after putting on the lotion, otherwise your palms will turn colored - if you've used tanning lotions before, I'm sure you already know that! I put the lotion on at night, rub it in, let it dry for a few minutes, and then go to bed. I shower in the morning and go to work without it - that way in case it does smell, you won't be out and about with it on. It had just a very little smell to it - FAR less than other tanning lotions I tried. My roommates couldn't tell when I had it on and I'm sure if worn during the day, the usual deodorant and light perfume would more than cover it. Do note that the active ingredient in all tanning lotions produces that smell, so it's not something you'll be able to avoid completely.

Depending on the cut of your dress and if you want your entire body tan as opposed to just your arms/legs (easily achieved in a tanning bed... more difficult to achieve with lotion), get a friend or your fiancee to help you apply the lotion to your back so it's even. There are also formulas designed for the face, but I didn't use them - I opted for a bit of bronzer instead.

Don't necessarily be afraid of a tanning bed... with my skin type, I never achieve a very dark tan, but tanning beds do help to give me just a tiny bit of color. I never tan for more than 10 minutes at a time, so I know I won't burn. If you have a family history of skin cancer, it makes sense to avoid it, but for me it also clears up blemishes so it might be worth a shot once in a while. If bed tanning really isn't for you, there are also spray tans, though I'd try those far in advance of your wedding in case you don't like the color.

Best of luck and congratulations on your wedding!
Reply:All fake tans have that horrible smell. If you get a spray tan, you wash it off 12 hours later so the smell goes along with the excess tan. I find if my customers find the smell is still there, use a scented moisturiser as usual which will cover it.
Reply:st tropaz i fine is the best tanning lotion, it dosn't really smell that bad and it gives you a natual non streaky tan, if you wanted a glow more than a tan its probably better using a tinted moisturiser, if you use it on you face then buy a seperate one specifically for face!
Reply:jergen's is the best for what your looking for. it does smell but only for a little while, it won't last i put it on everynight let it dry then go to bed. i don't like DARK tans so i use the fair skin. they have it for different skin tones.
Reply:i've used it and it does work but it is very gradual. if you start now, you can have your glow by june. also, it comes in different shades for different complexions. you may also want to try mark tanning lotion. you can get it from avon. it is more expensive than jergans but it smells really good. i haven't tried it, just smelled one of those scented pages in the avon book. both jergan's and mark come with special formulas for the face. i've looked on the avon site but couldn't find the mark stuff, but if you know a consultant, check with her to see when it will be back or if they have anything similar. what other products have you tried?
Reply:Jergens doesnt smell as bad as some of the other products do, but if you use it over along period of time, youll start to look jaundiced (yellow). if you get a good lotion, a tanning bed or booth isnt that bad of an option. You could only go a few times, a few weeks before your wedding, and that wouldnt put you at high risk.

If you have any questions, feel free to email
Reply:i smelled it and it smelled actually pretty good and I'm not sure if ti works but it could.

Black girls & tanning?

Okay, so I'm a black chick(light to medium complected) During the winter I'm kinda pale lookin'(high yellow) So I decided to try out some tanning lotion and it came out looking really good. I looked like I had been vacationing in Hawaii, or some place.

Anyways, these girls at my job were seriously hatin' on me for that. Callin' me a 'white girl' and stuff. I just told em' to kick rocks.

I don't see what the big deal is. Yeah, I know it's not common for black girls to be using tanning products, since we have a year-round tan. But what's wrong wtih wanting to add to look sun-kissed every now %26amp; then during the winter?

Black girls %26amp; tanning?
Believe it or not, alot of black girls do it. From light to dark. I'm just brown, I like to get tans. I like to be one color all over. There are many black celebs that get tans as well. for example beyonce, oprah. People need to know, just because someone is of a certain race with darker skin doesn't mean they have limits to what they can do.

What self tanning product will get me a tan in 3 days?

I'm off to Vegas in 3 days. I didn't have time to lay in a tanning bed and I hate those spray tans. I haven't tried them, but my sister in law had a bad experience. Is there anything you've tried that you found gave you a great base tan in 3 days? I have fair skin but tan quickly and beautifully. Thanks for your responses! ;-)

What self tanning product will get me a tan in 3 days?
Jergens and Vaseline Intensive Care lotions have bronzers and work really well. They don't leave you orange or have that funky smell.
Reply:What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
Reply:Self tanners will not give you a base tan, you can still burn in the sun. All they do is temporarily dye your skin.
Reply:I'm fairly new to the sunless tanning products, but I tried one last spring and loved it! I've used it off and on since, and get so many positive remarks. It looks very natural and is easy %26amp; quick to apply. To me, it's the perfect way to put on a little color for the weekend easily!

It's made by Banana Boat and it's called "Summer Color - Sunless - Instant Bronzer and Sunless Tanning Foam". I think using the foam is so much easier to control than a spray. If you're fair skinned, I would go with the lightest color. If it's not dark enough, you can always apply more later.

Have a great time! =)

Is there a risk in tanning beds?

Im not sure if i should try it out or not. Some people have turned orange from tanning salons. So im not sure if i should just try it anyway. I've tried laying out in the sun but it doesn't really help much for me. I've also tried tanning lotions but that made my legs look orange! Can you give me any suggestions on tanning products or tanning salons?

Is there a risk in tanning beds?
i know for a fact that when using tanning beds, you could end up with brown spots on your body, and also, if you do not put on the safety goggles, then you could get some problems with your eyes, and of course the possible chance of getting skin cancer. But, other than that, tanning beds are actually safe. Unless you do excessive use of the tanning beds, then you most likely will not turn orange, or look like you had a fake tan. another good idea is using tanning lotions that give you the apperience of a tan, without the possible risks of skin cancer. if i were you, i would do this, because they are reasonably priced, are good quality, and don't have the risks.

I've been there they'll tell you all the information you need to know and what each bed does. when you first go, you'll only be in there for like 5 minutes they'll check to see if it's okay then keep you going for more or something. It's also better because you will have people helping you who knows what to do! so you won't get any diseases and it will look more natural too
Reply:Yes there's a risk in tanning beds. Skin cancer, and looking alot older than you are...over time. Dried up, leathery, wrinkly skin just isn't worth it.
Reply:Well there are many risks but also many good things. The main risk is skin cancer. Second is addiction to Uv. Third is the whole orange thing, but that doesn't happen if you ask for a clear second coat thing. The good thing about it is it is faster and more convenient that laying in the sun.
Reply:try Jergens Natural Glow. It takes about 3 days to really get dark but it's even brown not orange and it actually works. Plus it's really good for your sick because it's doubles as a moisturizer. Hope this works for ya.

Reply:On the lower case you can ger burned and on the higher case is casues cancer! So is it really worth it in the long run?? I think not=]

Reply:If you don't consider skin cancer a risk, then by all means, go for it!

There are some pretty good artificial tanning lotions out there now. They're not perfect, but they're better than cancer.

Happy New Year!
Reply:you shouldn't do it. you have a greater risk of skin cancer than if you where out in the sun. if you don't tan then you'll have less wrinkles when you're older
Reply:Yes, you can get skin cancer, and it ages your skin faster.
Reply:though tanning beds are for getting a tan skin in the absence of real sun, you are still risking your skin the harmful effects of UV rays. i believe sunblocks are not a guarantee you are safe from the UV rays, they just at least minimize but exposure to it still increases the risk of skin cancer, needless to say the pre mature aging formation of lines and wrinkles, now, who wants that??????
Reply:I've had no problem using tanning beds over the years. All you have to do is make sure that you limit your tanning time to only a few minutes at a time. Gradually tan yourself like you would at the beach and you'll be fine.

Self Tanning?

i swim year round and have a pretty bad tan from my swim suit. i'm very happy with my skin tone, but the areas my suit covers up are super white. i have never used andy tanning products before and do not want to go to a tanning bed. are self tanners the right solution? if i use them on my whole body will i still end up having uneven skin tones? please help, im going on vacation soon and would like to look nice in a bikini!

Self Tanning?
Whenever I see this question my answer is always the same. Use Coppertone's Gradual Tan!
Reply:Well i have no idea wht self tanning is, but i think i might try it. thxs i'll get bak to u if it works
Reply:Unfortunately, the answer is that it is VERY difficult to match one of the chemical tanners to your sun-tanned skin tone. Would it be possible to put in some time in a bikini before you go, just to get the stark white skin started on a tan? Even if you are a competitive swimmer, you might be able to loll around the back yard for a few minutes each day, just to build up your tan.

Failing that, please take a VERY good sunblock with you on vacation, and apply it to the bikini-bared white skin. Better to be two-toned than to burn yourself to a crisp and really mess up your vacation.
Reply:It wont work! I've be using a tanning cream and it isn't very pretty. It's to orange for me!

What are some good facial products?

I'm wondering about a lot of things regarding skin =]

Mainly toners, moisturizers, cleansers, and fake tans

I don't currently use anything on my face... I was wondering if there are any really good products that you guys can suggest to get me started

I have breakouts every now and then, but nothing horrible... so it doesn't need to be something strong, just something that will make me feel clean and refreshed i guess...

And... what are some good fake tanning products? Or are tanning booths better???

I have a very strange skin color from being half Asian and half European (slightly tan, but sometimes I look kinda sick cause of the weird shade...)

I'm super concerned about turning weird shades of orange... so any suggestions you have about preventing that would be nice =D

Does anyone know any tanning tips?

No matter what I do I can't seem to get a tan. I either get sunburned, or I'll get a little tan but then it will go away in like a day. Does anyone know how to get a nice tan, or any good fake tanning products that are fairly cheap? Please help.

Does anyone know any tanning tips?
well, now that we know how harmfull the sun is to the skin you should check out all the great self tanners that are out on the market. I've tried coppertone (with the 2 chambers), vichy, ombrelle..... they're all great! The only thing that you have to look out for is to match you're skin tone. If your skin is very fair, go for a medium tan, (you could end up looking a bit on the orange side) but it you have a darker skin you can opt for the dark tan. Just make sure you exfoliate your skin before you tan and you'll be glowing in no time!

Hope this helps,

Jocelyne
Reply:Use plenty of sunscreen and evntually you will get a nice tan without burning. I have several friends with the same problem and the sunscreen eventually did the trick. It will also protect you from future skin cancers.
Reply:jergens gradual tan ! it rocks! you dont get tan all of a sudden, its gradual (duh) so it doesnt look fake or anything. :)
Reply:i'd go for the fake tan coz oviously ur skin doesn't like to tan up which is like my skin, do u have fair skin?? coz it sounds like it. garnier is pretty good i think. im not i don't use tanning lotions

Tanning lotion?

Hi. So, anyone ever used that neutrogena tanning spray? does it work and not make u look orangE? any other GReat Tanning products?! thanks

Tanning lotion?
i used that once and it made me look orange so i tried that jergens lotions that tans you naturally and i got the darkest one they offered and use that now it makes me tan pretty fast and keeps the summer tan plus it looks like a natural tan which is always nice ;) thats the stuff i recommend to all my friends to use b/c it helps your skin while keeping you tan or makin you look more tan
Reply:i havent used it. but a product i would recommend... its called beyond bronze... you can only buy it at victorias secret stores... and its like 10 dollars for a large bottle. you can use it anywhere on your body. i mainly use it on my face cause my face is the hardest to tan. its a lotion that washes off when you wash your face. its awesome! trust me! it dont look orange.. it gives the perfect tan.
Reply:okay ma homie. About a year ago I tried some tanning thing that was a moisturiser thing that was meant to make you go tan. Its not tanning spray but similar. IT is crap and easily noticeable and comes off easily. get a real tan. Thats what i did they are much better, just lie out side for lyk an hour or 2 a day and it wont take u long

I'm a first timer for tanning, what do i do?

are the tanning products expensive? i want to go to planetfitness, but i'm not sure how to even go tanning? what do i do first?what do i do after? are tanning products, such as, the moisturizer, and indoor/outdoor tanning lotions, expensive? but i do believe that i can request for a sample at my first visit? it should cost no more than $5? please answer my questions, it would be alot of help! thanks

I'm a first timer for tanning, what do i do?
You dont need expensive tanning products all you need is just normal sunscreen. maybe a couple hours on front and couple hrs on the back. theres ur fab tan!
Reply:whatever you do donot go to a tanning booth. STOP CANCER NOW!
Reply:just get cheap stuff, and you just lay in there, its really easy
Reply:The people at the front counter should answer any questions that you might have. Also, if its a good salon, they should give you free samples of a couple of different types before really trying to get you to buy one. Good Luck, and remember tanning should be done in moderation. Once every 24 hours, no more!
Reply:Have you seen the down side of tanning - say like 3-5 years - not so pretty at all! Try the spa- etc for the spray on it is great and when you are older the skin will love you for it! Lasts the same time too!
Reply:you shouldn't use tanning products. just lay in the sun a couple hours.
Reply:Tanning isn't hard, but beware you will probably burn alittle bit the first time you go if you have fair skin. Only go for like 8 mins the first time so you don't do to much. Basically all you do is get even a cheap tanning loation. Put is all over your body it will help you tan better, but put it on evenly or you'll get dark spots. The tanning place will set a timer for you and you just lay in the bed until it shuts off. Get out and get dressed, and go about your day.

*** If you burn thought don't go again until your burn is completly gone because that is how the cancer comes about. Only go like 3 times a week at the most. When i went i went everyother day one week and then not as much the next and i got a really good tan.

How many sessions in a tanning bed does it take to get tan?

Are the cheap beds JUST AS GOOD as the more expensive ones? How many times should one visit the tanning salon in order to get a nice dark tan? What outcome will be if I visit it once a week every week? What tanning products are good for a nice dark...yet natural looking (I DONT WANT TO BE ORANGE, THATS WHAT I MEAN BY NATURAL!) TAN? I have always used baby oil mixed with water when tanning outside.

How many sessions in a tanning bed does it take to get tan?
No matter which bed you use, it will typically take about 3-4 sessions to create a base tan. Most tanning salons have different level beds, so ask them which bed they recommend to create your base tan (which is also based on your natural skin tone). After establishing a base tan, you can move up to the higher level beds or to a stand-up unit if it's available, which I think gives better and more even color. Since you want a deep tan, go maybe 2-4 times a week after your base tan until you get the color you desire. After this, tanning once a week to maintain your tan should suffice.

Use an accelerator with the moisturizing ingredient "hemp," which creates a darker and longer-lasting tan. I work at a tanning salon, and I absolutely love the accelerators by Australian Gold. My all-time favorite by Australian Gold is Almost Famous (triple bronzer with hemp) which gets me the darkest and smells the best, and it runs around $40/bottle but is worth it. Sun Dreams (4th dimension bronzer with hemp) is also excellent, and Bearly Legal (bronzing + hemp) works just as well but is a little cheaper than the previous two. All three smell great and in my opinion don't leave that funny after-tan funk (especially Almost Famous!). Your tanning salon may sell these in single-use packettes so you don't have to splurge on a bottle of the stuff. Also, always moisturize after tanning to help your tan last longer!

Whether you're creating a base tan or maintaining, never ever tan 3 days in a row. You can go 2 days in a row or even every other day, but 3 consecutive days isn't a good idea.

Good luck!
Reply:please dont go to a tanning bed they are so bad for u go out side and do it please....
Reply:just go outside and strip naked and get a tan naturally
Reply:*shrugs*
Reply:It's different for each person. It depends how fair you are, your family's skin, and how much past exposure you have had.

The cheap beds will take longer to tan because the bulbs are lower watts. The more expensive booths won't take as long but you have to be careful the first couple times you go in.

There are tanning ecellerators that you can spray on your body that will help the tanning process a little faster.

The only way you would get orange is if you used the fake tanning stuff. No matter what anyone says that stuff looks fake. Be careful about your skin, it's the only skin you will have. I don't tan anymore. My father ended up with skin cancer and we found that it runs in our family so I don't tan but my best friend does.
Reply:Almost all of these questions have variable answers. It depends on your natural skin tone and also what you consider "a nice dark tan." Once I acheive the level of tan I want, I go at least twice a week to maintain it. The best looking tan I ever had I got when I used a tanning lotion with hemp and Co-Q10. Also, I have NEVER turned orange in a tanning bed. PLEASE BE CAREFUL NOT TO BURN
Reply:Cheap beds are not as good. You will be red at first and then it will fade. If you are going to go to a tanning bed, I suggest going to the better beds. You can go every other day and have a nice tan in a couple of weeks. I would not go every day, give your skin a rest in between visits. The tanning salons will have good lotions for you to use, however, I really don't see much difference in them. Just keep lotion on your skin to keep it from drying out.

OK, another tanning question...?

Let's say if I use a gradual tanning lotion and I go to the beach. Won't it come off in the water? I'm scared that I'll come out with patches or something.

PS. As I have mentioned before, I'm talking about a gradual tanning lotion, not fake tan (instant tanning products)

OK, another tanning question...?
Gradual tanning lotions shouldn't come off in water if you've allowed enough time for the product to interact with your skin. The product directions should tell you how long you have to wait before you can hit the beach. Just remember, these products don't protect your skin from the sun, so wear a high SPF sunscreen to go with your golden glow!
Reply:" PS. As I have mentioned before, I'm talking about a gradual tanning lotion, not fake tan (instant tanning products) "

Honey, all of those lotions are considered 'fake' as you put it. It gives you a tan without the use of the sun. Isn't that considered fake? I'm not lecturing or anything because I do use the gradual lotion too and might I add, I like it and is much cheaper then tanning!

It won't come off in the water unless you apply it minutes before you go in...which is stupid! Apply it the night before and you should have no problems at all :) Happy beach'n:)
Reply:It's not suppose to come off in water, but if it does, I'm sure it would just fade a little and wouldn't be that noticeable. =]
Reply:Tanning is bad. DO NOT TAN. You will get wrinkles and cancer.
Reply:i had a friend who used that stuff, and she went to the pool with me . it started peeling and didnt look that good. but i think it is only because she applyed it right before she came to the pool. i wouldnt worry if you apply it atleast a day or a few hours before. just be smart at the time you put it on and i think you will be totally fine.
Reply:No it will not come off in the water if you put it on at lest 30mins to and hour before you get WET AT ALL.. then you will be fine
Reply:as the first girl said....gradual tan lotion is "instant" or "fake tanner" it won't necessarily COME OFF at the beach, but salt water does act as an exfoliant and will take your color away faster. When applying a gradual tanning lotion, wait a couple hours before showering so that the bronzers in the lotion have time to develop! Best of Luck!

Self Tanning help?

I have use different self tanning products but none have come out a golden brown color. Any suggestions to the best self tanner with real tan results.

Self Tanning help?
All over the counter spray tan solutions contain DHA (which is what turns your skin brown) however they all contain less than the solution salons use to spray you with.

If you want a rich dark tan you need to go to a salon, many will offer it in different strentghs from 8% the most subtle tan to 16% DHA Siennasol Extreme (the darkest tan available).

Hope That helps
Reply:sometimes they take a while for the results to show through so it is worth waiting a bit longer.

i used Soltan Self Tan from Boots. at first you think it doesnt work because it takes quite a few days for the results but after it is really good and it doesn't wash off that easily.

or else you can get Rimmel (i can't remeber what its called) it is a spray on so the results are instant and it is good but it can get a bit patchy.

xx
Reply:Uh stay your natural color
Reply:i have used Neutrogena Spraying Mist. It is really good b/c it doesnt leave streak marks or make your hands orange. It goes on even.. you can get this in any drugstore or walmart..
Reply:ive honestly tryed them all!!! only thing i can recomend is the dove energy glow line or try mystic tanning, you will be happy with results lomg lasting and easy!!

Tanning? help?

wht r some good tanning products for tanning beds and for outdoor use?

wht self tanner is the best also?

Tanning? help?
I love Designer Skin products. My faves in their line are Spellbound and Black. Both have the silicone emulsion formula that makes your skin feel really silky after using. Designer Skin has tons of lotions, with and without bronzers, tingle and non-tingle. I would recommend one with bronzers to help boost your color faster. You can use their products outdoors, but be very careful if you do this! Their products do not have any SPF in them, so be aware of how long you are outside in the sun if you decide to use it outdoors.

The best self tanner is probably the Mystic Tan spray booths. That's the only one that I've seen that actually looks natural, and not orangey.
Reply:use banana boat dark tanning oil spf 4 it works really well and smells good too.

i also like he jergens lotion that gradually tans you...natural radiance i think its called
Reply:i actually work at a tanning salon and when you look at the lable any type of extract is good for exfoliating your skin, also a lot of tanning lotions have self bronzers in them which will not only help you tan quicker, but has a natural bronzer in them to help your skin look naturally darker, even after just one time of tanning. any time you plan on tanning you should use some sort of tanning lotion it is soooo much better for your skin. anything by australian gold is my favorite!
Reply:I use Designer Skin "Halo" and it has a SPF4 along with a bronzer. And it can be used outdoors also.

I would say the best self tanner is a draw between Mystic Tan and Jergens Natural Glow.
