Sunless tanning vs. Outdoor or Salon?

I have used many sunless tanning products in the past; leaving me covered in orange streaks....ick. it may be safer than salon or outdoor tanning, but im Fed Up with sunless lotions, sprays, etc.... because of how they leave me lookin' like a pumpkin. Are outdoor tanning and salon tanning beds as harmful as some ppl say they are? I mean really, i need a liddle color on my skin, so hopping into a tanning bed wont kill me, right? Since i am concerned about my skin and such... which is safer, outdoor tanning or tanning beds? --or are there any healthier alternativez that give good color??-- Thanx for your answerz!!!!!

Sunless tanning vs. Outdoor or Salon?
Sunless tanning is the only safe way to tan. Have you tried going to have a Mystik Tan sprayed on you? These look much more natural %26amp; cost about $25.00 per application of the tan. You can also buy them as packages to get a better deal.

Estee Lauder has a nice sunless tanner %26amp; so does Prescriptives. Their colours are a lot better than others. My sister uses sunless tanners %26amp; she likes Estee Lauder. It doesn't turn her orange- she is a natural red head w/ very fair skin.

Here is the lecture: sun is the #1 cause of wrinkles %26amp; cellular damage. If you must be in the sun, use a good SPF to protect yourself. Just imagine not looking like an old leather bag by the time you are 40!
Reply:Get some sun every day for 10 minutes until you get the tone you like, it's safer and more natural.
Reply:THE TANNING SALON IS HORRIABLE AND DEFINATLY LAY OUT IN MODERATION EXCESS OF ANYTHING IS BAD IVE TRIED ALL THE SUNLESS TANNERS AND YOUR RIGHT STREAK AND ORANGE EWWW BUT THE BEST ON TO BUY IS AT SALLY BEAUTY SUPPLY ITS ABOUT 12.00 BUT LAST A LONG TIME ITS CALLED TOMAS TAN PUT IT ON AND NIGHT SHOWER IN THE MORINING AND YOULL BE NICE AND TAN I LOVE THIS STUFF NO ORANGE WHHOOOOOO HOPE THIS HELP I SWEAR BUY THIS STUFF GOOD LUCK
Reply:yes. The salons and outdoor tanning is really terrible. I use a neutrogena sunless tanner and it works great for me. You could even go to a makeup line and ask them what sunless tanners they recommend.

Good luck!!!!
Reply:Tanning beds are even worse than outdoor tannings because they use a higher concentration of UVA on your skin.

You could try using gradual skin tanners like Jergens.
Reply:UV is known to be dangerous to people in the long run and no one can say 100 percent that tanning is safe. If you have any type of cancer in your family or if you burn easily then I honestly think its better to be safe and stay protected from UV rays.

Being exposed to UV rays in any way can cause harm but if you limit your exposure and take the appropriate precautions then you should be ok. I would say tanning beds are slightly safer because you are controlling the amount of exposure.... just go to a place with knowledgeable staff and stay away from the "ultra" beds and make sure you wear your goggles and do not over do it! If you are tanning outside make sure you use sunscreen and wear sunglasses and limit the amount of time outside.

As for fake tanning I use Jergens Natural Glow and it does not leave any streaks or orangeness (as long as you rub it in properly and your skin is exfoliated) I use it everyday after a shower because it tans your skin gradually. It doesn't give you that extreme dark look... but it gives you a natural looking tan! Check the bottom of this page for tips to have a sucessful fake tan http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/sunless...

So sunless tanning definitely safer... and if you choose to tan otherwise be careful and take the appropriate precautions.
Reply:have a spray on tan professionally done (guarenteed no streaks) or get the spa feel and go on a tanning bed. Either way, there is no safe way to tan because indoor and outdoor can cause damage to your skin, so protect yourself.
